Reflection -Early Morning Gardening in Autumn

It was still
Beneath a darkened sky,
Not yet fully light;
Undulating cold air sinking to the ground with a heaviness wearing
The damp cloak of Autumn;
Without a breath of wind,
Everything still and suspended
The dew heavy,left a diamond walkway
Across the grass
Where my boots had trod.
An enchanted world beneath my
feet
Sweetened earth and fungal
spores
A magical place
Until
Jackdaws startled, broke the silence,
Taking flight into the canopy
To hang like black gloves on a line;
