Rainbow of Promise

Inky skies set the moorland ridge alight
Distinct ,defined, closer
Perfect delight;  
Backdrop 
The stage is set 
Exit right
A clear sight; 
A wall of rain to
Backlit sun
Spiralling leaves in performance dance
Autumn fun  
But the rainbow held
above
Where heaven meets the earth
holds its  promise
Of perfect love.
