Easter Light in a Monochrome World

A world in monochrome;
The moorland uplands stolen to the mist;
There’s a chill in the air.
British summertime;
Official stance,
but to achromatic striation
The skies return
In a blanket of grey
And intermittent rain.

My world needs light;
Merge pascal flame
And joyful song-
Somehow.
For this is how-
Somehow
The wrath of God
to God of love
Transformed and satisfied
Casts the shroud
Dispels the dark
Filling the void with
Easter light.
