Past Midnight

Steel spray of moonlight 
Sharpened edges 
Frame  the cloud
Igniting the sky in marbled effusion 
Tracing the lines,masking the 
Disc of white
A gilded spectre
Manifests then shrinks 
Back into stormy darkness.
